Advanced SystemCare is a great program to tune up Windows' performance. It cleans, eliminates, repairs and optimizes system registry and other system files so that Windows can run fast and smoothly. The program creates a system restore point, in case something goes wrong during the clean-up.
In the home window of the application you can find out details about the system, last scans, problems fixed and statistics. In the utilities window you will find tune-up, security and admin tools. The tools included are: disk check/cleaner, Internet booster, smart RAM, smart Defrag, driver backup, IE security, Restore center, startup Manager, and some others. I found the Startup Manager very useful; it allows you to select the applications that should start upon Windows startup. By default the necessary ones are checked. The program can remove registry garbage, compact registry trash and defragment the disk for a fast performance. It can also erase and update the activities and Internet history. The memory cleaner tool displays the usage of the physical and virtual memory, and the CPU usage.
In the version 3.2 spyware protection has been included - it prevents malware and other harmful items from being installed on your computer. Also it scans and removes spyware and adware using up-to-date definition files (done manually).
The free version differs from the pro version in that all of the above functions, like speedup, fixing or updates have to be done manually. |
